The Peat-Fire Flame
These twelve songs are all from the Irish and Scottish regions of the
Celtic world. Their common background involves a common voice which is expressed instrumentally
by the Celtic Harp or clarsach. Ellen Wycherley plays and sings in this vocal and instrumental
tradition. Noel O'Donoghue enhances each song with thought-provoking introductions. He himself
is a philosopher and theologian who has written and lectured widely on mystical prayer and
Celtic spirituality, and is the author of several books.
