Music for the Celtic Harp
A book for students of the Clarsach consisting of Gaelic melodies arranged by Ellen Wycherley.
This is not a book for beginners. It covers a wide range of harp playing skills for those of intermediate ability.
All the seven Airs are Gaelic, and have been arranged by Ellen in a variety of ways; some are straightforward accompaniments, others duets for two Clarsachs or a Clarsach and other melodic instrument.
One of the ancient melodies has been arranged both as a solo for the Clarsach and as an accompaniment for the song. This shows a variety of ways to accompany the human voice with each verse making new demands on the player/singer. The words are in English, apart from a simple Gaelic chorus.
